Kicker Publishing is developing resources for future publications, in the subject area of sports destinations and athlete marketing.

Destination Builders

Promote your community as a sports and recreation destination with Kicker Publishing's Destination Builders web service.

We have developed a process for researching, branding, and publishing content for the purpose of developing a sports and recreation destination.  Kicker Publishing has a substantial library of over 20,000 digital photos of sports and recreational activities, with a large portion dedicated to water-based recreation.  Two of Kicker Publishing's communities - LakeAnnaBuzz.com and The Lake Channel - have benefited from rapid development through the Destination Builders project.

Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Departments use sports and recreation events to draw visitors and grow communities.  The Destination Builders service can assist in transforming your location to a sports and recreation destination.

Examples: >LakeAnnaBuzz.com   >The Lake Channel

Athlete Post

Athletes can inform scouts and prospective sponsors of their accomplishments through Kicker Publishing's Athlete Post web service.

Extreme sports athletes chart their course through emerging sports.  Along the way businesses "sponsor" these athletes as a means to promote the sport and draw customers.  While not in any organized leagues, these individual athletes compete in local and national events.  They must work on their own to publish their competition results and inform potential sponsors of their long term goals.  Kicker Publishing has developed AthletePost.com to broadcast the skills and results of these X-Sports athletes.

Examples: >Nikki Wilhoite   >Purcellville Skate Project (athlete association)

College-bound athletes must maintain an amateur status throughout their pre-college sports activities.  While they do not actively look for corporate sponsors as the X-Sports athletes do, the college-bound athlete must develop and maintain an academic and athletic resume.  The athlete's resume should be brief and contain the most relevant information and photos/videos in order to inform scouts of their capabilities.  Kicker Publishing will summarize the athlete's stats and select photos to create a single page of engaging information.

Examples: >Tony Wolak   >Phil Borner
